1. Dessert Lady Bakery
The Dessert Lady Bakery has been serving sweets and baked goodies since 2005. Popularly known for their dreamy wedding cakes, the store received tons of excellent feedback from satisfied customers in Toronto. This prompted the expansion of a second branch in Sultan Street, Toronto, where they opened a café that can accommodate over 20 customers. Aside from bread and cakes, they also serve salads, sandwiches, and even classic breakfast!
No wonder the Dessert Lady Bakery has been rated as one of the best bakeries in Toronto – their cakes are beyond delicious, the service is excellent, and the place is simply amazing and chic! Their regular best seller, the strawberry shortcake, is fluffy and super light. With fresh strawberries and just the right amount of sugar, you can’t go wrong with it!
The original branch of Dessert Lady Bakery is located at 12 Cumberland Street, Toronto, Ontario near the Toronto Public Library, across Hudson’s Bay Center. Its second branch can be found along Bloor Street West, across Windsor Arms Hotel at 1 Sultan Street Toronto, Ontario.
2. Roselle Desserts
Established in 2015, Roselle Desserts has been creating a buzz in the market for their delectable cakes and pastries. It is conveniently located near establishments in Trinity Street like Little Trinity Anglican Church. But as the tiny shop gets popular, they felt the need to open up a new branch which they put up last August 2019 near Queen Street West at Dovercourt Road.
Their Earl Grey cake is worth mentioning.
A lot of customers love it for its soft and smooth texture with nice tea flavor. It is also crunchy at the bottom and tastes freshly baked. They also serve Banana Éclair, Lemon Tart, Black Sesame Éclair, Cookies, Caramel, and Whole Cakes. Unfortunately, they stopped serving canelés for the meantime.
Roselle Desserts East, the original location, is located at 362 King Street East, Toronto, Ontario. The new location of Roselle Desserts West is in 108 Dovercourt Road Toronto, Ontario.
3. Bakerbots Baking
Bakerbots Baking might be just a cute little shop that sells cookies and cupcakes, but it should not be underestimated at all. Just a few weeks after its opening, it has created quite a good reputation. Their cupcakes, macarons, and lemon tart are must-try! But surprisingly, this place is highly recommended for their cookie ice cream sandwich, which is indeed one of the best in Toronto.
The tasty cookie complements the sweet and cold ice cream. You’ll have a variety of cookies and ice cream flavors to choose from. Their top-sellers include Burnt Marshmallow ice cream in Everything Cookie and Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich with Cinnamon Toast and Fresh Mint Ice Cream.
